Betz Heating, Cooling and Electric, LLC was started in September, 2010 by Steven Betz in the Collegeville/Skippack area.
Steve is known for his commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. His work ethic started when he was a toddler, helping his Pop-pop get ready for flea markets. Later he would learn everything he could working with his father, who has 35 years’ experience in the HVAC business.
Steven graduated from Methacton High School and North Montco Technical Career Center with honors. In high school, his teacher recommended him for the PA youth apprentice program, where he went out to work several days a week while also taking academic classes. He worked for a Plymouth Meeting based HVAC company and was hired full time after graduation. Steve continued his employment there for 5 years and in 2010 he decided to start his own business, forming Betz Heating Cooling and Electric, LLC.

In 2022, Steve met Pete Makarichev, a handyman with an extensive background in water treatment. After speaking for some time they realized that they were both hard workers that were dedicated to their trades, so they decided to form a partnership and Betz Heating, Cooling and Water Treatment, LLC was created.
Since then the pair has been working tirelessly to grow their business and have created quite a following of loyal customers.

Your heating and cooling equipment each need annual maintenance.
Turn it off and wait for it to thaw, make sure that nothing is blocking the vents and check the filter. If it appears to be clogged, you should replace it.
If your AC unit is more than 10 years old, if your energy usage starts to go up (this could point to lower efficiency), if there is warm air coming from your vents, or if repairs are becoming more frequent, it could be time to upgrade your AC.
If your furnace is older than 15 years, isn’t heating your home or is heating it unevenly, it is making loud noises, emitting dust or fumes, or if you notice corrosion, leaks or cracks it may be time to replace it.
